Old West Play-Fest

Join us for SET’s first ever Old West Play-Fest, held in conjunction with Territory Days!

Hosted by The Fifty-Niner speakeasy in the heart of historic Old Colorado City, and featuring original works by local playwrights, the festival runs May 25 and 26, with two short plays running each hour. (Full schedule below.)

Bust a Move, written by Amy Pieri and directed by Jacob Hacker, depicts a game show with three contestants boasting their knowledge, skills, and prowess (or lack thereof) in pursuit a coveted prize during the Pikes Peak gold rush of 1859.

Envenomed, written by Lisa Siebert and directed by Steve Emily, features a mountain biker’s struggles to stay alive after a biking accident and being attacked by a venomous snake.

Daily Schedule (Both May 25 and 26)
noon – 1 p.m.: Bust a Move
1 – 2 p.m.: Envenomed
2 – 3 p.m.: Bust a Move
3 – 4 p.m.: Envenomed
4 – 5 p.m.: Bust a Move
5 – 6 p.m.: Envenomed

The cost for each show is $20, which includes an alcoholic beverage or two non-alcoholic beverages (not mocktails). Pay at the door. Tickets cannot be reserved in advance.
